I don't even need to research it. That's how confident I am in what I'm about to say, or rather, declare.   But there has never before been a General Conference in the history of the LDS Church that has provoked as much attention, not only from its membership from within, but also from many outside of the Church, prior to the actual conference. And not only that, but also following the conference there has been a continual barrage of memes, opinions and coverage of what was spoken, which have seemed nearly astronomical --  to the point of being... perhaps.... dare I say... okay fine, I won't. (bites her tongue)

I'd like to help you out a little, and clear away the Inter-cobwebs for you, so you can see your way back to the actual Word

Oh, I know a lot of people have good intentions and all, in creating so many of these cute treats for you, and many believe they have some very intelligent things to say about what prophets, who have been called to speak for the Lord, had to tell you --  but honestly, let's try to not get too distracted by all the candy, and allow ourselves to become too 'treat-trained' by all the peripheral excess that the Internet so quickly tosses our way; as if we are all a bunch of seals at the local Prophet Stalker Park

And before you go postal on me, please don't think I am saying that this is all BAD, because I genuinely believe that much of it is positive, and indeed supports and strengthens us -- if it is faithful and supportive of our testimonies and not in excess. And besides, I'm as guilty as the next person for handing a piece or two of it out myself -- on occasion.

Note: I'm just observing a little bit of overkill this time around. I'm just saying. That's all.

What brought this on, you might be wondering, before I've even finished my Sunday General Conference highlight post, that I'm in the middle of writing... needing to finish before the next conference, you ask? (Because I know you were wondering, right? Sure you were...)

Well, since you asked... one not-so-simple link that I'm about to share with you, and then I'll be done. And then I will go back to writing that other post, that is not candy, and that I sincerely hope you will find worthwhile.

LDS.org has complied in one place, a video-quote by each of the Apostles from the April 2013 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and if that is not the ONE link that is the current pearl of GREAT PRICE to be found on the Internet, then honestly I don't know what that would be...

And so upon that important discovery, is the very thing which caused me to stop everything I was doing to pass the information along...

And yes, I realize that I could have easily posted the link in the highlight post that I'm currently working on. But no, that option, I decided, would not do this particular link justice. This link, containing a current quote of each of our living prophets, deserved its own post.

A worthy bookmark and SHARE by ALL:
