family-tree-familysearchFamily Tree is the latest, biggest thing on FamilySearch.org. Just log in to FamilySearch.org and click Family Tree at the top of the screen.

You will then see an online pedigree chart with you at the beginning, and all your ancestors laid out before you. The pedigree chart is pre-populated with millions of family histories contributed over the years.

You can easily click and drag the chart around to see more generations. Just click on a name to see more details.

Family Tree is an updated approach to organizing and recording your genealogy online. It merges the best features and data from new.FamilySearch. It also lets you collaborate with relatives to improve the information. You can also attach photos and links to sources (like an online birth record or a census document).

As always, FamilySearch.org gives you free access to billions of records to fill in the missing branches of your family tree.

Family Tree will ultimately replace New.FamilySearch.org. As additional features are added to Family Tree, they will be discontinued on New.FamilySearch.org, until New.FamilySearch.org is completely phased out.

Give it a try. I think you’ll find it very easy to use.
