“7 Seek not for riches but for wisdom, and behold, the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto you, and then shall you be made rich. Behold, he that hath eternal life is rich.

13 If thou wilt do good, yea, and hold out faithful to the end, thou shalt be saved in the kingdom of God, which is the greatest of all the gifts of God; for there is no gift greater than the gift of salvation.”

We often think about wealth in worldly terms. Those who have flush bank accounts are the wealthy ones. But the Lord sees wealth differently. In the eternities our dollars are printed on worthless paper, and our coins and precious metals are but rust. The only measure that ultimately counts is whether we have lived the type of life that will permit us to return to God’s presence through the Atonement of Christ. Salvation and eternal life are the ultimate gifts and the only currency that truly matters.
