Strong contenders for the “Wait, what!?” reactions this week are the evidence and ideas that drugs aren’t the likely cause of drug addiction, and that evidence of Vikings have been found in unexpected places in America.

How do you say “My first Canadian winter” in Syrian? I don’t know, but these photos and notes say it beautifully.  How do you say “Wow” in Hubble?  I don’t know, but these photos of countless stars translate just fine.

I’d like a Viking in my bathtub, please,

A butler serving tea,

A spaceship for the work commute,

They’d all mean so much to me.

I’d like Sherlock to find all the socks,

Some ninjas I can’t see,

A fuzzy alien just for thrills –

Instead they’re all only on tv.
