On the sweetness of Mormon life.

Your little son sits on your lap during the sacrament. You make him do that, every Sunday. After you take the water, every Sunday, you reach for some simple thing to tell him about Christ.

Today, you think “Jesus wants you to learn.” You open your mouth and something changes the words that come out. “Jesus loves to learn,” you say. In your mind, you see the boy Jesus growing up with gusto. For a moment, you are that boy’s friend and companion. For a moment, you are excited about life’s rough tutoring.

 

Jesus once was a little child.  A little child like me.
