LDS Living magazine published an article in their September/October issue by Dennis Gaunt titled “Get Teens to Read the Book of Mormon.” Here are five ideas to help increase teens’ interest in reading the Book of Mormon:

  1. Make it matter. Help them see what the book has to do with their lives. Show them how the principles apply to them.
  2. Make it fun. A little humor can go a long way to breathing some life into the people of the Book of Mormon.
  3. Make it spiritual. Bear your testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and encourage them to find the truth for themselves.
  4. Make it a group effort. Involve your teens in studying the doctrine, including the words of the living prophets.
  5. Make it about Christ. Help them to see that the main purpose of the book is to teach the world about Jesus Christ.
