Do evangelicals really think Jesus was omniscient as a 30 year old? As a 15 year old? As an infant? As an embryo? Foolishness.

In his mortal life, Jesus went from grace to grace and grew in knowledge. The divine Lord fully embraced the human experience, including ignorance and growth. The Incarnation is not a slogan.

The creedal Christian denial that God can make gods of men often leads them to deny that God can make a man of a god, which is putting the axe to the root of the Christian gospel.

Christ overcame the Fall by suffering through all of it and overcoming. He overcame death by dying. He overcomes our mortal ignorance by having suffered from it and risen through it. That is my belief. It is more truly orthodox, I believe, than what passes for Christian orthodoxy.
