New estimates show that the government-run option in the Senate health care bill would cover less than 1.5% of the population.

Why are we spending $848 billion to "reform" health care when it

  • Will improve access to health care for 1.5% of the population.
  • Will decrease access to health care for 98.5% of the population. (Because the new government plans will eventually replace all private plans, and give lower rationed care than we have today.)
  • Will drastically decrease the quality of health care.
  • Won't decrease costs.

Again, I ask, what's the purpose of a public option? What's the purpose of this health care "reform" anyway?

The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that government simply just wants more control of our lives. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
