Obama's "Regulatory Czar" Cass Sunstein believes that animals should have lawyers. Yes, you heard me right.

He said, "[a]nimals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives, to prevent violations of current law...." So, if you mistreat a chimpanzee and he can sign to express his discontent, he could sue you in court.

I believe in respecting and treating animals right, but they are not equal to the human race, and they don't need lawyers.

Since this guy is an adult, my only conclusion is that he must be nuts! And he's in a very powerful position. He's the gatekeeper between the President and cabinet departments.
