I've mentioned before that Obama's "Green Jobs Czar," Van Jones, is an avowed communist. He's asking for a revolution no different than Hugo Chavez. Chavez was elected by a democratic process. But he didn't tell the people when he was running that he was a communist.

Here's a quote from a speech he gave in March of this year, before he was appointed as the Green Jobs Czar:

"[If] All we do is take out the dirty power system, the dirty power generation in a system and just replace it with some clean stuff, put a solar panel on top of this system. We don't deal with how we are consuming water, we don't deal with how we're treating our other sister and other brothers' species, we don't deal with toxins, we don't deal with the way we treat each other, if that's not a part of this movement, let me tell you what you'll have. This is all you'll have. You'll have solar powered bulldozers, solar powered buzz saws, and biofuel bombers and we'll be fighting wars over lithium for the batteries instead of oil for the engines and we'll still have a dead planet. This movement is deeper than a solar panel, deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system."

Here's Glenn Beck's interpretation of Van Jones' language:
  • "If we don't deal with how we treat each other:" social injustice [i.e., rob from the rich and give to the poor; take from the ones currently in control and give control to those who have been deal with unjustly in the past]
  • "solar powered bulldozers:" That is for breaking new ground and building new buildings and expansion. Van Jones is for zero growth. No expansion. That's bad for the environment.
  • "solar powered buzz saws:" No more cutting down trees.
  • "Biofuel bombers:" No more war.
  • "This movement is deeper than a solar panel." He wants revolution. The green movement is a combination of 3 major powers: environmental justice, social justice, and the muscle of labor unions.

Besides instituting a "whole new system," it also seems to be about settling old debts. Van Jones: "And our Native American sisters and brothers who were pushed and bullied and mistreated and shoved into all the land we didn't want, where it was all hot and windy. Well, guess what, renewable energy. Guess what, solar industry. Guess what, wind industry. They now own and control 80% of the renewable energy resources. No more broken treaties. No more broken treaties. Give them the wealth. Give them the wealth. Give them the dignity. Give them the respect."

These days, Van Jones has lightened up on his language because he knows if he comes on too strong, people will get wise to him. Van Jones quote: "I'm willing to forego the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of the radical ends."

And this man is a special advisor to the President of the United States. Scary.
