Lifey is the world’s largest collection of virtual video interviews for real-life advice and support. It’s a one-of-a-kind social app where real people share their stories and insights. Whether you’re looking for guidance on life’s big decisions or seeking advice on everyday challenges, Lifey connects you to a vast library of authentic, helpful content.
For nearly 15 years, Latter-day Saint Alex Balinski crowdsourced 30,000 video interview segments with thousands of people about their life experiences, including missions, careers, health conditions, college life, finances, and relationships. This year, his 12-year-old son Nephi—a gifted young programmer from rural Missouri—rebuilt the mobile app and the website by himself, with guidance from his dad and the help of AI tools. Today, they launched an upgraded version of the website Lifey.org and the mobile app.
The website is a short-form, video-based platform designed to be a safe, family-friendly alternative to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Each video is reviewed to ensure it’s free of inappropriate content. The goal is to create a refreshingly positive space online—one that encourages curiosity, connection, and personal growth.
The platform is all about people helping people. It focuses on sharing meaningful experiences to help others.
They want to collect millions of video interviews of people sharing their life experiences and insights. So, watch some videos and record and upload your own.
