Missions are now implementing a new program to help young, non-native-English-speaking missionaries learn English. EnglishConnect for Missionaries helps missionaries learn English to increase educational and employment opportunities as they prepare to lead and support families when they return home.

Missionaries may be approved to study English using EnglishConnect for Missionaries for up to one hour every day. At the end of their missions, missionaries will take a final language assessment and receive a certificate that confirms their proficiency level. This certificate can be used to qualify for better employment and educational opportunities, particularly BYU–Pathway Worldwide.

EnglishConnect for Missionaries replaces the previous Companionship Language Study program. Learn more about the program at missionary.englishconnect.org.
