pursuit-excellence-Many years ago, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints published a booklet titled Pursuit of Excellence. It was a development program designed to help adults develop a Christlike life of love and service. It encouraged participants to set goals in the following areas: spiritual, intellectual, physical, service, and character.

But now, adults can participate with youth and children by setting goals using the Children and Youth personal development program. See Goal Ideas (scroll down on that page to the section Personal Development) for suggestions on spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual goals. Parents and others can set goals and work together with youth and children.

When parents, grandparents, and other adults in the ward set goals and discuss their personal progress, it sets a great example for the children and youth. And adults need to progress, too!

See additional goal ideas tailored for adults.
