On December 10, 2016, the Church will hold its first regional Face-to-Face event in Guatemala. (Previous events have been worldwide events.) Elder D. Todd Christofferson and his wife, Kathy, will answer questions live in Spanish from Guatemala City. (Read event information in Spanish.) The event will also be translated into Portuguese.

All youth and their friends, leaders, and parents are invited to participate in this live, interactive question and answer session.

How to participate

• Submit questions at caraAcara.lds.org.
• Join the live event on December 10, at 1:00 p.m. Guatemala time. Watch on the LDS.org home page or at caraAcara.lds.org. If you can’t participate live, you can view it later on the event page.

Elder D. Todd Christofferson

Elder Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles speaks Spanish and translates his own general conference talks into Spanish. “Yo fui misionero de tiempo completo en Argentina (…) A partir de esa experiencia y en muchas otras asignaciones subsiguientes como Autoridad General, gané un profundo respeto y amor por los miembros de habla hispana de nuestra Iglesia,” dijo el élder Christofferson. “Y en particular, por nuestros jóvenes de habla hispana, que son valientes y sensibles al Espíritu; es más, son un gran ejemplo para nosotros. ¡Me encanta participar con ustedes y servir a su lado!”

Youth are invited to prayerfully ponder what questions they have for Elder and Sister Christofferson and submit them on the event page any time before or during the event.

Leaders may wish to make this Face to Face event a special Mutual activity. Youth may also choose to get together with family and friends and watch the broadcast together. Youth are also encouraged to pray about who might be ready to hear from one of the Lord’s Apostles and then invite a nonmember friend to participate in the event as well.

Joven y jovencita: Te animo a invitar a tus amigos, vecinos y seres queridos al programa Cara a Cara. Y cuando este termine, espero que tú y yo hallemos la forma de compartir lo que hemos conversado con nuestros amigos alrededor del mundo.”
