In her message in Saturday’s General Relief Society meeting, President Julie B. Beck explained more about the new book Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society. Her message about the book begins at 15:30 in the video below.

A digital (PDF) edition of the book is now available on LDS.org in 17 languages.

You can learn more about the new book Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society in the article “Relief Society: Question and answer with Sister Julie B. Beck” published in the Church News. Here are some highlights from the article:

  • More than 98.5% of Relief Society sisters will have a copy of Daughters in My Kingdom in their own language by January 2012.
  • This is not a manual or course study. It is a personal and family resource. It is expected that you read it. You will know how to use it once you have read it.

President Beck gave several examples of how to use chapters in the book to learn and teach from.
