As a young man, Werner was drafted into Hitler’s Army as Germany was losing World War II. Werner became a prisoner of war and was held in a camp in Great Britain until the war’s end. Margot Moeller Sadowski shares her vivid memories and recalls the devastation of the Allied bombing of Hamburg and the fear it created. She recalls a peace and serenity in her home.
