The Boy Scouts of America has now made Scoutbook subscriptions free to everyone. Scoutbook (scoutbook.com) is an online management tool that helps Scouts, parents, and leaders track advancements and achievements.

In January 2020, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will discontinue scouting. For Scouts in these Church units who plan to transition to other community scout units, Scoutbook could be a helpful tool for transferring records of their meritbadges and other awards.

For units with Scoutbook accounts, they will continue without needing to renew. For units without a Scoutbook account, they can sign up for a free Scoutbook account for free.

Scouts and their families can also use the free Scouting mobile app for Apple iPhone and Android.
