President Monson’s shorter talks are able to deliver a succinct and powerful spiritual message.  I really enjoyed his Sunday morning talk called The Perfect Path to Happiness. He told the story of a young man at the world fair who watched the Church’s video Man’s Search for Happiness.  He immediately recognized that those things in the film were true even though he was not a member of the Church.

I had a similar experience when I first encountered the truths of the plan of salvation. They instantly resonated with me in a way that was difficult to explain at the time

As President Monson noted, “[o]ur Father’s plan for our happiness and our salvation is shared by our missionaries throughout the world. Not all who hear this divine message accept and embrace it. Their lives are forever changed.”

My life was truly changed forever by the truths of the Gospel. I am so blessed to have my feet firmly placed on the path back to God.

I also loved President Monson’s simple declaration that “[w]e are blessed to have the truth. We have a mandate to share the truth. Let us live the truth, that we might merit all that the Father has for us.” If we remember all that we have, then it should be easy to share and live those truths.
