Nadia Khristean‘s mission is to uplift others through inspiring music. She writes music for causes, such as addiction recovery, women inner beauty, anti-bullying, special needs, and families of fallen soldiers.

In her latest song about refugees, Nadia has teamed up with Shaun Barrowes and the BYU Women’s Chorus to inspire us to take action and to have empathy for refugees.

In describing this video, Nadia said, “My feeds are filled with news releases, political controversy, and opinions… And as I’ve been watching all these things come through my feed, I can’t help but think that no matter what our differences may be, whether they’re political, governmental, race, culture, religion or gender.. beneath it all, we’re all just humans, and we all hurt, and sometimes, we all feel a little broken. That’s the message I hope to share during this time with so much controversy. To just remind ourselves to see people as people.”

Broken is the second YouTube music video Nadia produced in a series dedicated to helping the refugees. She and her co-writer Travis Edwards had just finished writing the song when the refugee crisis came to her attention. Nadia immediately enlisted the help of the BYU Women’s Chorus to both sing with her and collect supplies for the refugees. Hundreds teamed with the Refugee Action Network in her area for the cause, collecting clothes and hygiene materials.
