LDSTech joins a growing number of LDS information sources encouraging readers to share messages of faith about Jesus Christ throughout the month of December. To help you share a personal message, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints introduced the “He is the Gift” initiative with a short video in late November on www.mormon.org, and created a new hashtag (“#SharetheGift”) for social media channels.

The theme “He is the Gift” emphasizes the love of God as demonstrated by the sacred gift of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, and draws attention to an oft-quoted scripture: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16). Elder Russell M. Nelson, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, commented on the theme...

... by stating: “As we discover the gift, we learn of the immeasurable love of God and our absolute need for a Savior. As we embrace the gift, we strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to become more like Him. As we share the gift, we follow the Master’s footsteps, who invited all to hear His message.”

This is a singular opportunity for you to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Reflect on your own experiences. Try finishing the sentence: “I share the gift by…” and allow inspiration to flow into your thoughts. Then share what inspires you with friends and family on a social media channel of your choice. Your Christmas message will edify and uplift all who are within your reach.  To learn more, go to www.mormon.org/christmas.
