Philosophers and theologians, believers and unbelievers, friends to faith and enemies, scientists, historians — these and many others have devoted a very great deal of time and attention for centuries to the relationship between faith and reason. There is little if any general consensus on the matter, and I have no intention, in just a few pages here, of trying to settle things.
