"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be" (Genesis 49:10).
This is one of the earliest recorded prophecies about Jesus Christ. Shiloh in Hebrew means “peaceful one,” and unto Him—Christ, the lawgiver—will “the gathering of the people be.” How does Christ gather people to Himself?
