The Church has published new resources to help people from all faiths and philosophical perspectives understand the importance of protecting religious freedom.

“In many countries, including the United States, religious liberty is slowly and dangerously eroding,” says Elder L. Tom Perry in a video introduction to the new materials about religious freedom posted on the LDS Newsroom website.

The new materials include the following:

• A video “What is Religious Freedom,” which uses whiteboard animation to explain what religious freedom is and why it is at risk today.
• A video “Preserving Religious Freedom” with insights from scholars, religious leaders, and concerned citizens about religious freedom.
• A Support Religious Freedom page on Facebook that provides news and information about religious freedom.
• A Religious Freedom topic page on the Newsroom website that describes principles of religious freedom and suggests ways to engage this issue.
