World MapWith more than 390,000 teenagers participating in seminary worldwide, the seminary education program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is reaching record-breaking numbers.

When the seminary program started over 100 years ago at a small school known as Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, it was just one classroom with a handful of students.

Today, seminary is taught in countries all over the world. While seminary’s strongest numbers are in the United States at 204,684 students out of the total 390,000, this means that 186,996 or nearly half of the seminary students in the world are outside the United States.

The seminary program is growing rapidly in countries like Mexico with 28,299 students and Brazil with 22,655 students. The program is also affecting teenagers in countries like Nigeria with 3,115 students and Ghana with 2,511 students. Teenagers throughout the world are strengthening their testimonies about the restored gospel through the seminary program.
