Below is a video from an LDS young women activity that taught them that they have individual worth.

The message of the young women’s activity was that labels are sometimes very harmful–but they don’t have to be. Others can be uplifted and inspired by kind words of encouragement and support. All people have a mission to fulfill in life, so look for the good in others!

With a little creativity and planning, leaders can craft memorable experiences for youth that can have a lasting impact. In this example, incredible leaders (seen in the video) saw an image on Pinterest that they wanted to replicate, and they decided to make it their own by capturing a time-lapse video using an intervalometer (at the rate of one image/second).

Activities such as this build unity between the young women, but they also invite collaboration and participation while they drive home the young women themes for the girls. Their hope is that the media will help the young women internalize the message. I think it will be one that they will not soon forget!
