WHAT IS A "TYPE OF CHRIST?"
When we speak of "types of Christ," we're usually referring to prophets and others who, according to Elder Bruce R. McConkie, "lived in special situations or did particular things that singled them out as types and patterns and shadows of that which was to be in the life of our Lord" (The Promised Messiah, p.448).
