The triple combination of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price is now available in Russian for the first time. The new set can be found in local  distribution centers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (inadvertently referred to by the media as “The Mormon Church”), the Online Store, the scriptures website and the Gospel Library mobile app. Previously, Russian versions of these books were available separately.

This new version contains headings and summaries, footnotes and the Guide to the Scriptures.

The Book of Mormon is a true, personal and spiritual account of the Savior’s reality and dealings with those who lived anciently in the Americas–those who, in very fact, saw our day, our needs, our struggles, our challenges. The record was preserved and post-dated for our needs.  It is a vital and vibrant source of truth. The Book of Mormon contains a record of God’s word to us through prophets, and stands as a second witness, with its companion, the Bible, that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that He atoned for our sins and has provided a path and plan for happiness and spiritual abundance, now and forever.

The Doctrine and Covenants is a record of divine responses to prophetic questions, as Joseph Smith, chosen to lead the way under Christ’s direction for the restoration of the gospel, sought God’s instructions.  The very words of Jesus Christ flow from its pages, and as one reads it prayerfully, one feels the same Lord speaking to them in their own environment, their own comparable, though different, circumstances.  It includes doctrinal teachings about consecration and priesthood, about missionary work (“The Great Commission”) and about the power of the Lord and His willingness to engage us and stretch us.  It includes revelations on godliness, and the correct use of power and authority, on degrees of glory and life after life.
