So it has been a really long time since I have really updated this blog, but I need to do better. A lot has changed in my life in the past couple of years professionally.
I am still working for UNC-CH as an instructional technologist, but my life is a lot more web-focused now a days. About a year ago I built up a wordpress mu instance for UNC that allows anyone on campus to create their own websites. We are calling it the UNC Digital Commons Project at http://web.unc.edu. Well, the project has been tremendously successful. We are approaching 1100 sites over the past year. Folks are using it for personal portfolio’s (about 50% of the sites), class projects, group projects, events, departments, and much more. It is growing quickly and I spent the majority of my time working with that system and our older Plone sites.
Because of these changes I don’t have as much time to devote to instructional technology projects as I used to have. But I still have a lot of thoughts, and things I am learning that I would like to share with the world.
So, I am going to try and write now and again on here. Stay tuned for what is sure to be techie and web focused discussions.
I sure hope some of my old readers from years ago are out there somewhere.
