Leadership and service positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are unpaid. Chosen through prayer and inspiration, these leaders do not aspire to Church positions but respond to “callings” in a spirit of service. The Shreveport Times spoke with multiple members of the Church about their experiences.
