The concern expressed above was in reference to “sweeping generalizations” or characterizations that simply do not apply to the entire LGBT community. For example, the idea that those who voted against Prop 8 are “never tolerant” is not correct. Many are very tolerant in their civil discourse. However others, as shown by their actions, are not as tolerant.

The purpose of my response was to seek clarification about these generalizations in hope for additional dialog about this important social movement.
