Hi Greg-I respect your views and comments concerning my post. I suppose I could have used more politically correct verbage in expressing my views. However that was not my intent. This subject is something that I feel very strongly about, and I did not want to leave any room for confusion concerning the point I was making. This political correctness that seems to be the popular rule of the times is destroying honest debate in this country. I wasn’t trying to offend with my words. I was simply stating my honest opinion and the facts as I understand them to be. However, I understand that you and perhaps others that may have voted for prop.8 may hold different views on the matter. The constitution of the US guarentees to us all the right of free speach.
Just in case I missed something in the video, let’s you and I. reexamine it together and break it down. 1. The Mormon missionaries come to the door and state that they are there to there to take the women’s rights away. Total lie? Or do you think Mormon Missionaries would say something like that? 2. Next the Missionaries barge in to the house uninvited, take their rings off their fingers, and rifle through the women’s personel belongings and find and distroy their marriage license. Total lie? Or do you think Mormon missionaries would behave like that. 3. The statement is made that prop.8 will take away their rights. Total lie? They have the same rights that you and I have concerning marriage, to mary anyone of our chooseing of the opposite sex. Or do you believe same sex couples have the right to marry each other? 4. One of the women states that the Morman church members spent $20,000,000 to pass prop.8 . They offer no data as proof of this, and frankly I don’t believe it, and I have no way to know if it is true or not. Do you consider this true and honest debate? 5. Did you happen to notice the protests staged by the Gay and lesbian comunity in California in front of the Morman churches, wich turned violent with the distruction of church property, after prop.8 was passed by the will of the the majority of Calif. Voters. Do you consider that tolerant of other people’s views and beliefs? Perhaps, you might want to reconsider your critique of my post. However if not ,I still respect your right to make it my friend.
