There are several online quizzes that help people know where they stand on the political landscape. Are you a Democrat or a Progressive, a Republican or actually a Libertarian? Try the following:

My results:

Government Power and Size
The power of the federal government should be limited, with more power at the state and local levels. Elected officials in Washington lose touch with the people pretty quickly. I believe in a much smaller government, roughly one-half or one-third its present size, with one-half or one-third the current budget. A balanced budget should be required, meaning reducing expenditures when needed rather than raising taxes.

Economy
I strongly believe in free markets and the free enterprise system. The Typology Test rates me an Enterpriser. I am anti-regulation and pro-business. I believe that individuals are responsible for their own economic well being and that most people who want to get ahead can make it if they're willing to work hard. It is not the responsibility of government to provide for the personal economic welfare of its citizens, to compensate people for social injustices, or to engage in economic or social manipulation through taxation or laws.

Social Issues
I am conservative on social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. I believe that environmental issues are often exaggerated and cause economic and social problems for people, rather than serve the greater good of mankind. Global warming is mostly a hoax with underlying interests in global power.

Foreign Policy
I believe we should be assertive in foreign policy, where needed, to protect America's interests. I strongly support anti-terrorism efforts.

Conservative vs. Progressive
I am a social and cultural conservative, almost neo-conservative. I believe in traditional values, and care first and foremost about my country, my family, and my religion. I dislike the agenda of the left because I see them as trying to destroy these things.

Capitalist Purist vs. Social Capitalist
I am a Capitalist Purist. I believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. I believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.

Libertarian vs. Authoritarian
I'm a moderate authoritarian. I believe that things like drugs, pornography, and violence are immoral and children need to be protected from them. The will of the majority sometimes is more important than the rights of the minority. I believe that we all have certain inalienable rights that must be protected, but that sometimes laws need to be made to protect the majority's lives or quality of lives.

Pacifist vs. Militarist
I am a Militarist. Since the United States has so much power in the world, it has a responsibility to keep the world safe, and if it does not exert its power in the world, it may eventually lose its power. We cannot look weak in the face of terrorists, and must take them out where they live.
