- What kind of government are you for? 55% say lower taxes and smaller government (that's up from 52% in 2006). 35% want higher taxes and bigger government.
- Is raising taxes a good idea in a bad economy? 69% say this is a bad idea. (58% of the Democrats say it's a bad idea and 86% of Republicans say it's a bad idea)
- Should we raise taxes on the rich? 66% say yes. However, 72% agree with the statement "You cannot make the poor rich by making the rich poor." In other words, 72% think that redistribution of wealth is a bad idea, yet 66% think the rich should pay more. Go figure.
- Is it possible that the United States of America could go bankrupt? 61% say yes.
